"There is only so much information that can be obtained from books and education, the rest must be learned from real-world endeavors."

Paul Gellerman is the Business Manager for VTTV.  His job is the epitome of working “behind the camera” which is something many Virginia Tech students do for VTTV.  The student-run television station produces several shows each semester including:  a news show, a sports show, comedy programs, and ideas such as cooking and make-over shows are being considered for Fall 2006. 

Each show needs a director, producer, on-air talent, original writers, as well as camera, sound, and scroll operators.  Competent engineers are also a must.  And these are just the students involved in content production!  Paul’s business staff includes positions for selling advertising (scroll) which helps pay for equipment and other expenses.    

If any of these jobs sound interesting, do not hesitate to get involved.  As with every EMCVT student media division, prior experience and personal equipment are not needed.
